Rap and country are very similar imo. Both genre’s songs are overwhelmingly geared towards women and getting fricked up.

Because it is shite "audio" compared to real music. Long Live Rock n Roll. (and blues and jazz and...)

I’m 31 and think it’s absolutely terrible. 90% of all rap is created by people with a single digit IQ. Secondly, it glorifies gang, drug culture, and battering women. Unfortunately, many ‘youths’ pick up that garbage at a young age, and grow up with absolutely no respect for law enforcement or any other type of authority figure.

BLM should be all over rap music and culture, which contributes to way more black deaths than law enforcement ever has or will.

Exactly... same thing with classic rock.
Country and rap also have very similar themes when it comes to bragging or talking about vehicles.

Hate, no, it’s just not my preference. Music is art. If the words don’t move you the rhythm will.

It's not music and takes zero real musical talent. It's made by talking over often electronically created artificial noise.

Music taste is subjective; rap is not music.

Traditional country is the white man's blues. Not talking about the tractor rap shite.

Also, you must admit that country endorses drinking quite a bit. Even naming brands of beer in a lot of songs.

80s kid checking in. I went through a rap phase and I can appreciate the rap of the mid-late 90s.

I’m 40. I’m a man, dammit. I can sing the majority of rap lyrics from 88-00. From Too Short to Tupac. Easy to Lil Flip. I cannot tolerate any of today’s rap. I don’t think it’s so much that I’m old, just the music and style is terrible. Unlistenable. I still like the old shite though.
