Hair metal as a genre was cheesy and shallow. While there are a few select songs I like for nostalgic reasons, I was damn glad when that era was over.
As cheesy as the hair bands were, at least the music was fun and usually had a good hook. Much better than the dogshit grunge of the 90s. It's laughable how seriously bands like Nirvana and STP took themselves.

Nirvana was horrible

Depends. Most of the rap back in the 80's and 90's was not what it is today. Today, you have what they call mumble rap. English mofo's, do you SPEAK IT! Mumble rappers should be slapped in the face just on principal.

same thing with classic rock. Country and rap also have very similar themes when it comes to bragging or talking about vehicles.
Big difference between a musician and a rapper.

I enjoy music that brings good memories. If I can't hum it it isn't music.

Does rap even exist anymore?

Chicks really loved hair metal, and it was the most common music played in clubs and bars in most places I frequented. It was a fun genre until it got oversaturated.
I miss 80's chicks

because they grew up listening to actual music.
rap is for children and people with pre-teen maturity levels.
i don't mind it at the gym or somewhere as background noise.

80’s chicks were great..... he’ll ALL of the 80’s were great. The best decade of my lifetime and it’s not close.

Because it is played VERY loudly while being extremely profane.
