Serious Question about "Essential Activities"

Under the official mandate, an activity is essential if it is one of the following: A. Obtaining food, medicine....
Some news new organizations print their interpretation which states you can go to the grocery store, pharmacy, etc.
Under the actual law, wouldn't I be able to go fishing, since that is obtaining food? (or at least trying to) Are boat launches open during the mandate?

Public launches are still open here in South LA.
Yes, you can go fishing. Nature activities are still permitted, so you’re covered either way.

I won't feel guilty hitching up the boat to go the seafood store. I will be alone and on the water. No fear of contracting a disease or spreading it.

Fishing and hunting are definitely essential, it's the access to water and woods that might be difficult since public launches and land access may be blocked which shouldn't happen
If you live on the water/woods and have access to a private launch or lease of land you will be fine.

Just go fishing dude. You aren’t getting arrested if you get stopped.
People just need to stay at home if they are planning on interacting with other humans and don’t need to. This really isn’t that hard to understand.

Car dealerships are open LOL! What a contradiction! Stay at home, unless you need to go buy a car, so it can sit in your drive way. Also being at a dealership you are 100% breaking the rule of 10.

Had a guy on the WWL this morning who said that fishing/hunting/running/walking are all encouraged and people need to get our more while being safe.

As long as you have paid the gubment required fee that allows you to legally fish.

I know of a course that is planning on staying open until physically shut down by authorities. They don’t have burgers though

Yes, you can still go fishing. Saw a charter guide who posted something on FB saying they got clarification on the order and charters with fewer than 10 people aboard can still run. So you can still take your own boat out too. The only launch I know of thats closed for coronavirus is the one at Bayou Segnette state park because they’re using the park as an area to house people on quarantine

People need to get service work done on their vehicles so they can still go to the grocery, pick up food, or get to their “essential job”

I already liked our governor, but hes killed it during this thing. Calm/cool/collected. Highly encouraging folks to go use your parks, trails, fishing, etc.

Just went to TP Outdoors in Monroe. Had to stand outside while they went in and got what I needed. It is going to be tough if the hardware stores have to close and people can't fix things around the house, etc.
