I’ll allow it.

What
She should've went with 130 degree water. He can sue for damages for the burns he suffered. She shouldve claimed it was an accidental reaction to seeing his genitals but this was premeditated.
Most adults will suffer third-degree burns if exposed to 150 degree water for two seconds. Burns will also occur with a six-second exposure to 140 degree water or with a thirty second exposure to 130 degree water. Even if the temperature is 120 degrees, a five minute exposure could result in third-degree burns.
I think she should be able to claim self defense since he sexually 'assaulted' her

Not a chance
This case would be worth nuisance value at best.

Sounds like assault to me, legally. Ethically, it's a very disproportionate reaction that completely changes who the victim is.
Sorry. I don't like perverts, either.

I mean I’m not a pervert and my first reaction was how this baristas life was threatened enough to justify 170deg water being poured on someone.

Because frick him, that's why.
Maybe she was handing him the water but the sudden sight of his genitals spooked her and she accidentally dropped the cup in his lap. It wouldn't have happened if he had been zipped up.

She already said she recognized the vehicle and started recording video and poured the cup with her back turned to him tho. So there goes that.
Is it justice this perv getting his junk burned? Yes. Is it legal? No.

I understand your sentiment, I really do and I even agree.
Just doesn’t change the fact that what she did was illegal.

It doesn’t seem like for a regular customer this process should have taken almost 7 weeks. 4 or 5 exposures before warrant. Workers recognizing vehicle and so on. If they had questioned him they would have gotten him on not registering as a sex offender immediately plus any witness to initial exposures. Not sure why they waited until being caught in the act.

That it happened multiple times at two locations is a sign Haines said makes him feel that Crawford’s alleged actions “were very intentional, and it was very targeted. It happened four or five times before the warrant was served” and Crawford was arrested.
Although the Cody Police Department installed video surveillance and watched the coffee kiosks, it was difficult to catch Crawford because he was a regular customer, but wouldn’t flash workers all the time, Haines said.
“He would do it, but then wouldn’t do it for two weeks, but he was an everyday customer,” he said.

You idiots don’t know anything about the law obviously. This guy could have been driving around completely naked all day everyday. She should have called the police. To throw hot water on him is not a self defense or some impulse reaction. She stated she noticed his car in the drive thru so she planned to throw hot water on him. They are about to get sued to hell and back. Stupid
