I think eating a pot brownie would have been more appropriate.

I would eager they are more likely than whites to do drugs given their percentage of the population compared to whites while still 4x as likely.

But your point is a good one and something that happens pretty regularly. When I smell weed on a sidewalk it’s usually those types of folks

Well, would it still be legally possessed if they lied on the FFL transfer form that specifically asks if you're a user if marijuana?

It’s all about discretion. If you are reasonably private with your substance use, or at least confine it to areas where it is accepted, you are much less likely to have issues with it.

But if you make it a focal point of your identity and show others no respect, well, you are asking for trouble.

Here is another stat….

quote:

Outside of generational differences, more men smoke marijuana than women.

So I’m going to assume more men are arrested for pot than women.

I guess it’s sexist too.

This. There is a 0% chance you will have any trouble with the law if you smoke it discretely or in your own home.

I may be mistaken here but I don’t think you can legally carry a firearm & weed at the same time. Is that not a felony anymore?

Is it illegal? Yeah. Can you possess a gun while drinking in a bar? Nope. Do people partake in things that they refuse to look into the legalities of? Yep. Do I feel sorry for every dumbass who carries blunts and glocks in a car and gets busted for it? frick no.

What you have is a lot of stupid clients.

Half dozen responses that were basically this, so just to pick this one out:

Yes, it is (well, depending on the amount of marijuana). My wording was intended to convey that they weren't otherwise barred from possessing a firearm, such as for having previously been convicted of a felony. I apparently didn't do a very good job of conveying that

I find it strange how quickly the OT vacillates between "stop breaking the law, a-hole" and "frick laws I don't agree with". Hard to keep up with these days

What society needs are drag queens to teach inner city youth about the legalities surrounding possession of firearms and various drugs, so that we can stop this systemically racist cycle of dumb people doing dumb people shite and being held accountable for it.

I just finished season 2 of boardwalk empire and the similarities are striking.

Prohibition doesn’t stop anyone from using a substance. It just makes “criminals” of otherwise law abiding citizens. The people that will use responsibly are still going to use responsibly, and those that don’t are gonna make asses of themselves and cause trouble and get picked up by the cops.

The politically connected are going to find a way to make money off of it, pockets will get greased, and nothing will change, except for the lives ruined by the criminal element, which largely wouldn’t exist without the prohibition in the first place.

The same urban Ivy League- educated crackas that try to legitimize this guy would be shocked to realize he’d enthusiastically murder and consume the flesh of their children, if the circumstances were right. I hate them more than him. He’s a morally- bankrupt, double digit IQ savage and they are the decadent utopians who make him possible.

I’m pretty steadfast in my “frick all these stupid laws” position. It’s absurd the amount of bad laws we have, which aren’t applied equally anyway. The whole system is garbage
