Selfish thought of the day:Airline companies should keep flying the COVID way from now on.

Just got on a plane and the plane is about half full, and everyone must sit in either a window seat or an aisle seat which is great for me as a tall guy. I can spread my legs into the aisle and under the middle seat in front of me.

I still have a kid kicking the back of my seat though. Go figure

Bonus: Flight attendant is smoking

They would happily do that if you will pay twice as much for your ticket

Yea I doubt airlines will keep losing their asses forever.....they'll either jack up the ticket prices or this thing will go away and it will go back to normal at some point.

The farther this goes the more this whole election year conspiracy seems plausible.

I have a strange feeling Covid 19 is going to deflate shortly after Election Day.

I am just glad that more flights are becoming available. I recently purchased ten round-trip tickets for labor day and Xmas.

That's pretty much how it was pre-911

Then they cut a bunch of flights and figured out they can save money by packing planes

American 11 was 58.2% capacity
United 175 was 33% capacity
American 77 was 33% capacity
United 93 was 20% capacity

And that wasn't just for 9/11. Those flights average load the previous weeks were near 50% capacity.

Restaurants could continue to operate at 50%. Less crowded is more enjoyable.

They will add a 4th seat next year in each row to catch up on lost revenue.

I’m not broke, but I don’t fly often. And I just can’t justify buying first class. Was going to fly to Hawaii in July and the first class prices were 5x. It’s a different story when your company is paying for it and you are on a plane 3x a week.

If I'm paying twice as much for a ticket, I'm sitting up front where the stewardess gives you a cocktail when you sit down and a blowjob after they close the curtain.

If business travel doesn't really come back (due to getting comfortable with Zoom/Teams), there's going to be significant changes.
