From personal experience you can't always tell what condition a person may be in just from outward appearance. Some may not need it, but some maybe lucky to be alive and rehabbing a serious injury or ilness.

Yes when I was that bad off I only got groceries delivered. When I finally could walk a little, I never used those things. Just hobbled around best as I could as part of rehab.

I bagged groceries at Winn Dixie in high school too. Back then we bagged them and took them out to the customer’s car. Sometimes you’d get a tip.
After hours we would take those flat carts with four wheels, we’d have races from the top of the parking lot to the bottom. Damn wonder no one broke an arm or leg. Sometimes we’d really be hauling arse.
No way they would let that happen today.

I’m starting to think that was one of the most enjoyable stints of employment in my life…so many ways to have fun

When I see one of the stock clerks riding one to return it from the parking to the store, I always tell them to have some dignity, get off, and push the darnn thing.

I've had to use one of those carts only 3 times in my life and that was due to a serious ankle surgery and not being able to put any weight on the foot for several weeks at a time.

I just had to get out the house and went with the wife to Costco for groceries. Still felt weird to me to be in a cart.

I have 4 bulging disc's in my lower back. I don't go in the store though. I do pick up.

Most of the people that use them are really big, like they barely fit in the thing. That life has to suck, I can’t imagine being that big.

If I see a skinny person on one I just think maybe they are lazy, have a lower body problem, or just like to ride scooters to shop. I may think about it when I pass them but other than that, who gives a shite?

Most people don’t need them and are lazy.
Same with those who park in handicapped spaces.
And if you don’t have a cop on patrol at a Walmart, these same lazy fricks will park in the firelanes in front of the store to shop or wait for someone to shop.

Can someone here provide any insight as to why these dickless pieces of shite might decide to cruise around in motorized scooters?

Why do you care? Mind your own business.
Order online, get it delivered to your house and avoid seeing the clowns.
