Looking to get away friday to monday What's the closest place to NOLA with cooler temps? Do we have to go all the way to the Rockies? How are the ozarks right now?

Smokies are cooler.
The Ozarks are still hot. I don’t know why the Smokies are so much cooler, but they are.

Try far north Georgia mountains. Was there in early July and it was 67-68 in the morning and about 84 was the highest with lower humidity.
I sweat easily and only sweated when I was hiking or playing golf in the middle of the afternoon.

This wouldn’t even do it most likely. SO went this weekend for work related reasons and reported that it was hot as hell

My dad usually likes to call and tell me how much cooler it is in Bozeman during the summer but he said it's been hot there too. It still gets down in the 50s at night though.

It’s not close, but I would go to my favorite place in the world during the summer time....Steamboat Springs Colorado. Upper 40s at night and mid 80s in the day....and 12% relative humidity right now! Fly fish during the day and catch a pro rodeo every night.
