Also, F that train which sometimes blocks you from getting to the marina.
Do not ever try to go to Seabreeze between 3-4pm. Gotta get those BMWs to the Container ships
Also you’re correct on the 30 mile radius, but if you’re looking to hit up Kiawah, just reserve one at St Johns 24 hours before.

You’ll also never drink more High Noons in your life once you move here.

We take it out to Sandy Point a good bit. Do you know what happened to that wrecked Sailboat? Just disappeared. Wasn’t sure if they burnt it down or it got actually moved.

People are fleeing Illinois in droves. Congratulations on the move. I’ve been forming companies for multiple people who have relocated to south Florida. Come get your red pills!

I wonder why
The moving lady from one of the companies I talked to said the person she talked to before me was also moving to Charleston.
Less than ideal to have to be the sober captain but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

The lake doesn't have six ft tides twice a day.

Charleston Beer Works
I swear we've hung out before. I have a close friend from my old stomping grounds in Horry County who worked for the Elliott House and is a regular there. I used to be there every time I stayed in Charleston before he got a family and moved to West Ashley.

Think there's any chance I could find someone who is currently on a single membership and split it with them so we both get it for $350?
You guys know anyone like that that's in the club now?

Give me a day or 2 and I’ll bump this thread and shoot out a TD email to you, might be able to sort something out with a buddy.

You can walk from one end of the peninsula to the other. It's amazing.

That would be awesome. Thanks. But I honestly thought direct messages here was just something we joked about. I can get you my info some other way if necessary.

Early welcome to Charleston!
We made the move from Louisiana a couple years ago and have loved it.

School me on these tides. Any tips to avoid screwing up haha? I'm moving there this summer from Louisiana where tide is hardly an issue. Excited to learn a new fishery over there

Wanted to bump this thread for anyone who cares. Been a Charlestonian for a few weeks now and fricking love it. It wasn't cheap or easy to get down here but it was worth it.
Some pics from our short time here.
We joined the Dachsunds of Charleston group and they do a Weenie Walk the first Saturday of every month, so Bella got to meet some friends.
The food...it's amazing.
This is right across the street from our place. I end my runs here.
This is my new view. My last view was of an Xfinity store and a four lane busy street in Chicago, and I loved that, but this is next level. I already have my fishing license and am gonna spend a lot of time not catching fish and loving every minute. That's the Ashley River in the background.
A few other observations in my time here.
- Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming, it's been awesome
- It's a relatively quiet town, even with the college...which I'm totally fine with
- The drive from Columbia down has nothing and it's about 90 mph the entire way; the traffic there is interesting given it's not that big of a town, but for some reason they decided to funnel every traveler from every direction into the same area
- I've told friends the only way I'm leaving this area is gonna be in a pine box
- GasMan, keep me posted on if you know anyone who would take a +1 on their boat club membership, that's the reward for being down here

Charleston rooftop bar scene is tough to beat.
And if I were a single man the area around CoC would be tough to stay away from.
