Keystone is good and even on weekends North Peak and Outback arent real crowded, not like the front side anyway.
I hate night skiing, cold as hell and icy. Worth trying but have no desire to do it again.

Night skiing is always kind of kooky but at least at Keystone, you don't pay extra for it.

Good to know. Had my eye on North Peak and Outback for that reason. I'll do the front side Wed, Thur, Fr, and those on Sat & Sun.
I definitely have concerns about the cold, but I wanted the night skiing option if I decide to spend alot of the day down low on the mountain with the kids. With my condo being right by the Peru lift, I thought it would be easy to leave the kids with grandparents in the evening to get a few more runs in.
But why icy? Fresh powder would fix that, right?

Icy isn't so bad.
For me, depth perception is the main issue.
Shadows everywhere. Snow grabs you out of nowhere.
Pick a straight line and drop the hammer.

Well during the day with the sun things soften up. As soon as the sun goes down that soft stuff turns to ice. Obviously if nice fresh powder no problem.
Avoid River Run. Always an icy clusterfrick.

Yeah my depth perception is screwed at night, its not as bright out there as you think it would be.

Gracias. I expect to be on the Mountain house side 80% of the time.

Vail on Monday
I was there yesterday and it was by far my best resort day on the season

A basin, keystone, breck, vail, beaver creek
Its just so damn cheap and easy to fly into denver and go to the i 70 resorts
That late direct southwest flight to and from msy is perfect.

hit up PC, my dawg...PC and snowbird have some great, great runs.
Posted on 2/2/16 at 1:22 pm to The Egg
Next year im gonna do a PC trip as well as Tahoe trip
Posted on 2/2/16 at 1:31 pm to The Egg
How would you compare PC to the Colorado resorts you've been to? I may go in a couple weeks if the snow is good and haven't ridden anywhere in Utah yet. Heard nothing but good things though
Posted on 2/2/16 at 1:37 pm to HippieTiger
haven't been to colorado yet, surprisingly
have been to PC, tahoe, taos, angelfire, and whistler
PC has been by far my favorite. we went to whistler last year and it just so happened to be the worst winter/least amount of snow that they've gotten in a long time.

I've skied UT, CO, and WY a good bit
PC is the best all around ski resort in the world, hands down no questions asked. It's huge, had great snow, has an awesome town area that's close, and is only 30-40 min from SLC international.

Want to avoid crowds and boarders? Become good enough to ski advanced/expert terrain.

Bold statement and disagree.
At 69" snow depth at upper elevation, CO resorts are laughing their asses off at you right now.

Your hate for snowboarders is retarded. I bet you're just a hoot to have around on the mountain.

As a snowboarder, I understand some of the hate. I see snowboarders doing goofy shite, mainly around the lift lines, and it affecting skiers in a negative way quite often. Some people, like the dude in Aspen who pushed a boarder off of the lift recently, take it way too far though
