So it's like Chernobyl?

Not surprisin Houma is gone. Place has been depressing as of late. Sure Monroe won't be far behind.

They shouldn't have cancelled the catalog.

Yea I honestly thought about coming back and editing the post to say that. Haha. The whole thing will probably close before long I imagine.

They should make their restrooms free piss like Target to save their company!

Is this shopped, or does it really say "gay pajamas"?

We had something similar to this, only it had wider tires, handle bars were not as high and it had that huge freaking sprocket on the rear like this one. Looked like a table saw blade

Those P.J.s aren't gay! Just the helmet.

I talked to someone that works there, and he said they'll have liquidation prices soon, but the best and high dollar stuff is going to be sent to other stores. Other stores that can't sell their clearance crap will be sending stuff for the liquidation sale.

Big box stores are having to reinvent themselves which is good. Maybe don't have 30 lines and only use ten.
Only place I have EVER seen every lane open is Dorignacs in Metairie. And it's every time I have been there
shite, the Winn Dixie here in Westwego has like 6 lanes, and I don't think I've ever seen more than 3 open.

And metal too. Todays toys are all plastic at a higher cost. Those Wish Books were the best. They dont make toys like they used to. Now everyone is on Ipads.
We had some Siamese kittens that used to crawl into it.

Southland Mall is gonna have to sell its F250
Posted on 4/23/16 at 6:04 am to jmarto1
Southland Mall is a victim of taxes and insurance. Do you know Sombreros restaurant was paying over 10k a month to be in that mall, now how does that encourage tenets to do business there? But it's not just the mall, Marble Slab was paying 5700 a month for that little spot on MLK. I'm sorry but something needs to change in Terrebonne Parish and with insurance as a whole to help businesses, not fleece them of all their profits.
Lower the property tax and sales tax
Do away with 941 tax reporting
Demand more competition in the insurance market.

That is a well run store.
I started to shop at zappardos because it was close, and kept going back because I never waited more than a minute at the cashier. I went the night before thanksgiving one year (they had valet parking- and NEEDED IT) and I was still out in no time.
Nothing beats mom and pop.

The only rent I've known about at the mall is the make your own t-shirt place. There's isn't too bad. Rent on mlk is ridiculous. I pay $13,400 a month currently.

For most businesses, the number they are looking at is $/Sq Ft. Malls are notoriously high for non anchor stores, particularly for food court vendors.
Ex in laws had an Orange Julius in the Acadiana Mall in Lafayette. Had to get creative to eke out better profits without raising prices. Started delivering to mall store employees and giving reduced price fountain drink refills to people who kept their cups (the cost of the cup is significantly more than the cost per serving of a fountain drink).

Just the beginning for them. Their Balance Sheet is dog shite. They'll be filing for bankruptcy before the end of the year.
