Speak it. Some people cannot handle the truth. Buying new is a rip-off

Congrats on the Nissan Altima

I'll happily drive a Nissan Altima that I paid cash for and won't really care if some idiot texting and driving in Houston traffic rear ends me.

I couldn't agree more. I'm not knocking on the Altima. I drove one with over 150k miles. My joke was more about the insane prices of New cars. Your Altima and Accord are hard to find under 40k once loaded.

I realize that manufacturers build what they think people want but I've always considered a pickup to be a utilitarian vehicle. When did they become status symbols? They're getting to be outrageous.

Meh. My current 2 vehicles have almost 400k miles between them. When I replace one it'll be with something brand new, and that one will have to go until it quits like the others have. It's only a bad purchase if you let it be

Thinking a lot of TX, never seen a horse, but gotta have a truck, oil rich buyers had something to do with this. A King Ranch is not exactly a work truck ??
If you can find a large bed, standard, just down to earth work truck, please let us know.

The vehicles are lasting longer than ever. The average age of a vehicle on the road is now over ten years. As long as you keep a vehicle for the life of it then prices have not really increased.

The problem is when people are constantly trading them in. We bought a new vehicle and it was excellent expensive but we traded in an 11 year old car for it and plan on keeping it for 10+ years.
