I'm beginning to suspect that it all started out at Giza as one giant pyramid scheme.

Will they drill a hole through the stones and put a camera in? They reported the find on the news. That is some serious x-rays to see through that much rock. Will the Egyption government allow exploration?

ETA: OP, i’d just ignore people trying to stir up shite. If they spam the thread trying to get a response then you can just RA them.

The cognitive dissonance is stunning.

How did this thread turn into bashing the OP? I came here looking for some good, interesting discussion but there’s people like you who just trash the man for no damn reason. Get a life.
No good reason.

Graham Hancock wrote about this a long time ago.

Can you provide a link to where Graham Hancock wrote about there being a hidden chamber in the Great Pyramid a long time ago because I'd like to read what he wrote?

do you think some unknown alien beings helped build the pyramids or shared technology with the ones that did?
The more you look into the details of the construction, the harder it becomes to accept that a ~2500 bc civilization built it, even when the alternative is something as crazy as alien assistance/guidance. There's just no way.
Just a few things out of many (wiki):
quote:
Based on these estimates, building the pyramid in 20 years would involve installing approximately 800 tonnes of stone every day. Additionally, since it consists of an estimated 2.3 million blocks, completing the building in 20 years would involve moving an average of more than 12 of the blocks into place each hour, day and night.
The accuracy of the pyramid's workmanship is such that the four sides of the base have an average error of only 58 millimetres in length.[8] The base is horizontal and flat to within ±15 mm (0.6 in).[9] The sides of the square base are closely aligned to the four cardinal compass points (within four minutes of arc)[10] based on true north, not magnetic north,[11] and the finished base was squared to a mean corner error of only 12 seconds of arc.[12]

Just so you know. I appreciate your posts. We lost our Bible study years ago because people insisted on constantly bashing us and hijacking our discussions. If people don't like what you post or disagree with the subject matter, they should kindly not read them and shut up. Plain and simple.

The time line outlined that you are quoting was made assuming the abilities of a 2500 BC society. Not only is it not hard to accept that they did it, the very evidence that you are quoting is based off of the assumption that they did it.

Did you see my post earlier in the thread where I linked to the recently (4 years ago) discovered papyrus from a construction manager? The papyrus seemed to be missing a good bit, but what they have learned from it was they used pretty simple solutions like using rivers and man made canals to transport the stones from the quarry to the build site. Here's an article with detailed step by step pictures including how they could have floated the stones into place while building the pyramid.
Much more detail and illustration at the LINK

Maybe civilization back then was a little further along than we give it credit for.
There were some dark times between then and now that resulted in a lot of knowledge being lost.

There is totally treasure, don't ruin this for us!
Any one who has ever opened up walls or ceilings can tell you the treasure is just going to be empty coke cans and chip bags that the construction crew couldn't be bothered to throw in a trash can.

Sorry I missed it but will check your link for sure.
Another aspect that puts it into perspective is when reading of earlier discoveries/looting done even in later BC, hundreds or thousands of years ago yet still hundreds or thousands of years after it was built. And yet much is still not known about it. Pretty incredible.
