I'm beginning to suspect that it all started out at Giza as one giant pyramid scheme.

How did this thread turn into bashing the OP? I came here looking for some good, interesting discussion but there’s people like you who just trash the man for no damn reason. Get a life.

The more you look into the details of the construction, the harder it becomes to accept that a ~2500 bc civilization built it, even when the alternative is something as crazy as alien assistance/guidance. There's just no way.

Did you see my post earlier in the thread where I linked to the recently (4 years ago) discovered papyrus from a construction manager? The papyrus seemed to be missing a good bit, but what they have learned from it was they used pretty simple solutions like using rivers and man made canals to transport the stones from the quarry to the build site. Here's an article with detailed step by step pictures including how they could have floated the stones into place while building the pyramid.
