This is one of the worst takes of this entire situation. No teacher wants to deal with the BS that is virtual learning in K-12.

Teachers should not be paid as much for managing an online lecture. And taxpayers should not have to fork over money for services not rendered.

You think teachers want to convert their entire curriculum to virtual learning? That sounds like a nightmare.
Most teachers would love to get back to classroom learning, and understand that kids are much less affected by COVID. The problem is you have teachers working with kids who have no concept of hygiene spreading germs like crazy. Along with that, there are many teachers that are older and have more vulnerable immune systems.
So many people are trashing teachers when 4 months ago they were praising them because of how hard their job is.
Meanwhile, most people who are telling teachers to go back to work are ones who are currently having to work from home because their companies don’t want the liability of having hundreds of people in offices.

Biggest school district in Omaha announced they are alternating MT TF for in school classes. Wednesday’s will alternate. All predicated if your last name starts A-K or L-Z. They sent a survey to parents on how they would prefer school to resume. This was not an option listed.
There will be plenty of jobs open in Omaha in a few months since we’re forcing parents to quit their jobs.
