There was apparently a new video that came out today. I didn't see it yet, but saw people talking about it on Facebook. I don't know what it shows, but maybe this is what she is talking about.

I know people in south carolina don't really like facts, though.

Yes, because you obviously know better than I do about what happened here.

You are further demonstrating your ignorance by insulting the ppl of South Carolina. It is a shame that you, an LSU fan, are acting this way. This state, and the ppl who live here, actually have a lot of respect and appreciation towards the ppl who are fans and attend LSU because of the lengths that were gone to in order to assist us during the floods. It is too bad that you choose to represent yourself, and the University, in such a manner.

How else are you supposed to get someone to leave the premise if they won't follow e simple instruction of getting out of the classroom? Use please or something?

The girl had plenty of opportunity and warning prior. She was asked to go many, many times. She wanted them to physically remove her and she got her wish.

Why does it matter if she leaves or not? Because an adult wanted to make her? Ridiculous. There's an avenue for force to escalate in a situation like this.. and it's not "I asked you twice, so now I'm going to beat your arse."

So it's ok to hit a cop now?

Cops are not instructed to hurt people based on what is "okay". They are to hurt people when they fear for their life. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this cop did not fear for his life via a punch by a 16 year old girl.

Her behavior warranted forcing her out of her desk and holding her down and cuffing her.. NOT dragged her and then throwing her across the room out of the frame of the camera.

Look, I don't know or care about who hit who first, but how does living in the same state mean you know more?

Unless you were in the classroom, you don't really know any more than anyone else.

You act like living in a state makes you privy to some secret information How fricking quaint.

IDGAF about football, South Carolina, or LSU. This is the fricking OT lounge. If you think a bunch of rain is supposed to make us feel some strange bond that could surpass the obvious stupidity you are defending.. you're batshit insane.

The facts are that the officer attacked a girl who refused to leave a class room. He was fired for handling the situation inappropriately. He should probably have charges pressed against him too.

A tl;dr goes like this:
You're wrong.

So basically all the other kids just have to suffer because this little snowflake wants to be a stupid count and the kids have to put up,with it for the entire period? We just let problem kids disrupt class from here on out? Sounds like a solid learning environment. Cop went overboard but her nonsense warranted being removed so the kids could get back to learning.

"Suffering" You suspend her and remove her from the school for a day, two, or a week. That's the system. It's not "shes not listening.. officer Z, could you rough her up a little bit?"

I'm 99% this is nothing more than blind cop defense.

If you read the thread, you'd see I am debating her comments on the 50+ year old age group at the grocery store .. Nothing more, nothing less .. No personal beef ..

It was self defense against an illegal arrest as evidenced by the cop being fired today for his actions.

Frick that little bitch and frick that cop.

Suspension is a great solution....after the fact.

Doesn't solve the current problem of a student disruption in the here and now.

I'm waiting for the inevitable.. one day a cop is going to make an illegal arrest, the person being abused is going to fight back, and the cop is going to kill them. On camera.

It's going to get ugly.

One of your earlier posts:

How is texting or whatever the frick she was supposedly quietly doing disrupting class. A kid in the classroom tweeted that he had no idea why she was even asked to leave. She was NOT disrupting their learning.

The back and forth initially disrupted it when the teacher (understandably) told her to stop and then to GTFO. When she didn't listen, and he decided to turn it into a spectacle, THE TEACHER ruined class. The adult
.

I'm assuming you were in the class?

A student chilling in a chair and browsing facebook is such a huge disruption

I don't understand why you don't think suspending her (or even expelling her) would not be an adequate punishment...?

The kids aren't stupid. If Sally breaks the rules and does not listen to the teacher when he asks her to leave, and he continues to teach, but she isn't at school for a week because she's suspended, the kids aren't retarded. They know she was suspended.

You never had a parent who would act oddly calm when you were being bad? Maybe even let you carry on in the store a bit.. and then TEAR into you afterwards? I always knew when my Dad was extremely angry-calm, it was bad. On the other hand, Mom who wanted to deal with it ASAP by yelling and carrying on didn't scary me at all.

There are serious consequences that don't involve injuries that could have been taken that would still show the other kids they can't get away with breaking the rules. If the student is so unruly that suspension doesn't mean shite, she will be expelled. If the student is so unruly that expulsion doesn't mean shite, she will [a] no longer be a disruption to the school and [b] have to deal with law enforcement for legit reasons now that she is getting into trouble outside of school.

What happened today taught no child a valuable lesson.

Idk if he is a bad cop. Were there other complaints against him?

We have all heard the stories or seen videos of cops snapping or using excessive force...that is why I have come to the conclusion that anyone who doesn't comply or chooses to challenge, escape, get physical with any cop is an absolute moron.

Yeh I will get called a bootlicker by some idiots on here but I know I will never be a dumbass and let my emotions get the best of me when interacting with LEO. I consider that using common sense and good judgement not giving them an excuse to use excessive force/kill me
