Have you ever thought that maybe I am friends with the teacher that was in that class? The one who saw everything that happened? I guess that slipped your mind. I live here, my kids went to that school, graduated from that school, and this area is not a huge one. A lot of us know each other both professionally as well as outside of the classroom.

And that makes no sense. Any black parent that doesn't teach their child to comply with LEO is doing them an injustice. That is like telling them to play in the street.

Then spill the inside information.

I've been searching through Reddit to get some sort of background with regards to what occurred before the video but no luck.

This entire thread brings to light the incredible lengths people will go through to justify their hatred of following the rules and minimilizing bad behavior because of their "eff the police" platitudes.

No idea either but the head of one of the major police groups was on NBC news saying that cell phone usage is not something that should have warranted a cop or SRO to be called to respond to the situation. And this was a cop defender.

And that is right IMO. Any cop defender should be disgusted with the way this cop reacted. People like this make it 10x harder for the cops who aren't shite.

I have a few chicks on my FB married to cops who are going to town today pulling out every excuse they can for why this cop was fine to rip the student out of the desk, throw her onto the floor, drag her, and then pick her up by her clothes and throw her out of view. I couldn't believe they were backing someone who made their own husbands look so bad.

If someone in your (not you personally) profession did something publicly that changed people's perception of you, wouldn't you be upset?

You seriously need to go back to your own message board. Somehow you stumbled here and you are very confused as to how this board runs

No, actually. I'm not a mind reader. Saying you live in SC doesn't mean shite. You definitely never said, "the teacher is my friend and called me and told me everything".

Your little attitude is one that might get your teacher buddy to call the cops on you and have you beaten. Better watch out.

I've told you what happened. The sheriff corroborated said information. Am I going to tell you everything that was told to me? Hell no. You wouldn't either. There is another video that shows everything that happened. The media loves to stir shite up..I can only assume that is why the complete video is not being released.

I could be wrong but I want to say for one of the complaints the sheriffs department investigated, couldn't find anything, and it was dropped. Again I'm not 100% positive about that. I know some of the students at Spring Valley we're interviewed and were asked questions about him. Some said he was cool and others said he was a douche.

Can you tell us more about your training as a law enforcement officer?

Cops are not instructed to hurt people based on what is "okay". They are to hurt people when they fear for their life.

Sorry, but this isn't correct.

A larger percentage of black people are raised to not trust cops or respect their authority. It's going to be extremely difficult to solve the problem especially when we have race pimps and a president who fans the flames of racial discord. Groups like BLM also exacerbate this problem.

anyone would trust police or respect police in their current trigger-happy/abuse happy state is insane

The cop was called.

She wouldn't comply with the cop

Hell broke loose.

How TF are you arguing anything but this being completely her fault?

Sure the situation could have been handled better.

But she's the one that tipped over the first domino.

and i'm sure it changes everything

thug officer got fired and he fricking deserved it. the fact that the girl didn't get seriously hurt and we removed a bad officer from the streets should make the girl a freaking hero

Well I just want to know what the girl was doing on her phone?

Was it really disruptive (or was she just on fb)? If not then why not make a mental note and deal with it later?

Was she being loud and disruptive after asked to leave or was she quiet and just sitting there refusing to leave?

Answers to those questions impact my opinion on whether or not the cop was needed. His job was only to get the girl out of the room. He did it a little too forcefully but there's nothing else I can fault him for.

The cop escalated the situation from nonviolent disobedience to a violent attack on a young student. That's why he got fired.

So cops are taught to slam 16 year old school kids into the ground and drag them and throw them because she was being a bitch?

I've always been taught that what made cops so great was that they are trained to do the least amount of harm possible to get a job done. If this is wrong, I have quite a different view of cops now.

I know that my puny boyfriend (sorry boo) could stop me from hitting him/force me up pretty easily without hurting me. Unless this girl was the Hulk, there is no reason the cop had to do what he did.

It really is amazing. You watch a crappy video of an insubordinate teen and don't even want to question why the teen started the altercation you just want to focus on what ended the altercation. I just can't think like that.

You seriously need to check the attitude. You obviously think you know it all...you don't. Go back to my own message board? Funny, ppl from every school registered are regularly on this message board. I'm not obligated to not participate in discussions on this message board, especially when you in particular are spouting your misinformed opinion of a situation you actually know very little about.

I have LEOs in my family...I don't incite reasons to "beat on me". Furthermore, you are the one who needs to check the attitude at the door.
