he should have complied....kids will learn to respect authority.... one way or another....its not the officers fault that the girls parents failed her. The officer got called to the room for a reason.

But it is the officer's fault he threw her like a ragdoll.

Not if I was a cop. I have the right to hit anyone that isn't complying, regardless of race or sex.

No, its hers.... she was disrupting class bad enough to have the officer in the first place...then when he showed up she was not complying...

what was the officer to do? stand over her and just wait to she if she wanted to get up eventually? no

I have no problem with this...if that was my dad and i was not following his direction he would have done the same thing...

everybody is becoming so soft these days to kids who defy authority...

20 years ago it would have just been the teacher giving the beat down and nobody would think twice about it....alot of Tuna being created I'm America these days

The most pompous line in film history.

The cop was out of line. I don't know what the kid did, but there's no reason for that kind of treatment.

He should have let her keep disrupting class. Who cares about the other kids in there. Their right to get an education isn't as important as her right to express herself free from consequence during class.

What if the girl would've broken her neck getting flipped like that?

i don't live in the speculative world of what ifs.....

she didn't get flipped....he tossed her from her desk....she got like 4 inches off the ground and tossed about 3 feet over.....

I'm not one to use that as a go-to line in situations like these, but I have no doubt in my mind if this were a white girl at BR high school, a majority of this board would be after the cop's head.
