Any movie in which it can actually happen. I always thought the Scream movies were "scary" or at least legit in terms of I can understand why people would be scared watching it.

I didn’t want it to end happy.

I wanted it to end in a not hilarious way.

I liked midsommar too. There wasn’t a ridiculously laughable stupid scene to take me out of it.

Still thinking about that scene of the family hanging upside down over the swamp blindfolded waiting to get snagged by an alligator.

that's from the sequel, which was terrible compared to the first movie...

Before everyone knew it was BS.

The media campaign for that movie could only have been pulled off at that time in history. Internet had just enough blend that it could be manipulated with a small group of influencers yet not so big that their bullshite could be called out or that the actors had some b-role for a noxzema commercial.

The Wizard of Oz. Those flying monkeys shredded the Scarecrow and could have ruled the world with the right leadership.

Also say The Strangers. Not a great movie, but unsettling to say the least. I watch a lot of horror movies and this one kept me up at night wondering if I had just heard a knock at my door.

Part of me thinks yea it’s creepy then part of me goes full on American history X when thinking someone is outside of my house.

Jaws. It's primal. It's very real and it happens all of the time.
