Has this already been discussed? My kid turned me on to this youtube rabbit hole.
Hackers hack the scammers and mess with them. There's a million of these on youtube.

I like getting them on the hook then playing with them for as long as I can waste time just to hang up then block.

They are the reason I finally got my 85 year old mom to get rid of her land line and go smart phone. Bastards would call 15 times a day.

They have a whole damn call center filled with people scamming. I wonder what the numbers are.. One in every 20 people bite? One in every 50?
Imagine having a job that solely depends on scamming people. That's something I just couldn't do. And there are a lot of them out there.
Years ago I had one call me and I usually don't answer if I don't know the number, for some reason this particular time I did. It was a woman who sounded like she was from India. She starts off telling me that they have noticed my Microsoft windows has been compromised and that they just need to get some information from me and they can take care of the threat which would then allow my computer to run faster.
I had a Mac so I decided to string her along a little bit. I acted like I totally believed her and that I was so thankful she called me. And every time I acted like I was about to give her my information I would ask another question. I could hear it in her voice that she was getting annoyed.. Then I said "You smelly bitch I use IOS!" and hung up. But I hate them because they probably screw so many people who just don't know any better and if that is what you do for a living you might as well go stand at a traffic light and beg people for change.

You think this makes her less vulnerable? I'd argue that's even worse.

Pleasant Green was the first one of these types that I ever really watched. They're all doing the Lord's work, but they're just so outnumbered. Every little bit helps, though.

I got the extra protection. So far so good. But sometimes I miss those calls. I would get them so mad by messing with them. "John" would tell me I had intimate relations with my mother. I did get one of them to cry when I convinced him what he was doing was wrong. Surprised the hell out of me. Must have been the only scammer that had a soul.

Yeah, I was about to say. OP is about to be disappointed.

Jim Browning is a great one too. Similar style to the video you posted
Used to watch Hoax Hotel a lot as well. He would moreso frustrate scammers by talking them in circles and pretending to be dumb until they stopped answering his calls.
frick scammers.

I know India/asiatic countries thrive doing this
But I guess I’m thinking is this what they are known for?
I’m either a doctor/IT or an IT scammer?
They don’t run drugs.
Is there an Indian Mafia?
Like Mexican/Russian/Asian etc.
Are they all semi-nerdy scamming type people?

You are sort of answering your own question here. But in India is goes above what we think of as the mafia. The government is very involved and complicit in it.

Running the scam is a sales job, very little IT literacy involved. It's like learning a card trick on the IT side of the scam. If they had really good IT skills, they'd have an H1B in the US and these youtube heroes wouldn't be able to hack them so easily.

There are criminal groups that advertise for jobs available to people from poor areas. They get them there, take passports and phones, and force them to run scams from boiler rooms.
Nonetheless, if I were king of the world, I would issue a Delta Force type squad a license to roam the world and kill scammers on sight.
