If youre an avid fan I see no problem with it and I actually say it myself. I'm a die hard though. It does irk me when non-serious bandwagon fans say "we" though.

Doesn't bother me, unless it's a situation where they say "We" when the team wins, and "They" when they lose.

First time I ever heard this was from a Nascar fan. I think she was a jeff gordan? fan. Everything she said about his racing was "We". Actually, I was kind of impressed....dedication.
