I've been to Riyadh multiple times. Most of the capital punishments are carried out on Friday's (their holy day). I don't why they changed it. Some of my friends that are inn Jeddah said the nickname for Fridays "judgements" in Riyadh are called "Chop Chop Square".
They have zero tolerance for drugs in the Kingdom; that's one that had the death penalty along with all the others listed in the OP.

America needs to take notes. These career criminals are beyond saving. They do a big crime, might as well not waste time and just finish it, instead of having the tax payers fund their stay and food forever in prison.

Rest assured that, while you were fornicating at your "proms" and "raves," I undertook a deep study of the blade. No stone was left untouched. Of course I required maximal caloric intake during this endeavor, but fortuitously I live near Checkers and have a Naruto-themed Discover Card.

They don't use just any old sword. It's a katana made from steel folded over 1,000 times. This is a blade that can defeat tank armor. At least, it can in the hands of a sufficiently portly and well-studied swordsman.
This might be the single, dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

You sure? They just chopped off a few dozen people’s heads who, presumably, knew what the penalty would be. Doesn’t speak all that well for it “working”, beyond giving you a gore chubby.
Well the murder rate is 4 times higher in the US than Saudi. You’re 50 times more likely to be robbed and 12 times more likely to be assaulted in the US

Since I can't start threads I'll just ask in this thread. How many people will help Trump buy a new plane?
Trump asking supports to fund new plane
And I hope no one bought a raffle ticket for "dinner with trump" because them cats didn't pick a winner.

My dad had been sent to Saudi Arabia for work a few MOTHA when I was a kid. He was impressed with the swiftness of their legal system. Shop lifters had their hands cut off on the spot for everyone to see

You know how it goes. People think something is a great idea until it works against them.
Like I mentioned earlier. More than half were Shiites so I guess all of these people who think this is a good idea is okay with people likely getting killed more because of their religious views than the actual crime they did. In other words, Sunnis probably get away with a lot more.

And, Liberals love the idea of government executing innocent fetuses.
Which is truly more appalling?
You still don't get it, do you?
All the stuff NeoCons did to try and stick it to the libs are now tools used by Democrats, and they do it much better because they control more institutions.
Maybe just start promoting freedom and leave it at that?

And nearly 75% of murders in the US are committed with firearms. The right to own a firearm is basically non-existent in SA. Sure you want to walk down that path?

You just said it doesn’t work because some people were still killed. I didn’t state an opinion either way, but I see statistical data showing otherwise. I guess we should never imprison anyone because people still commit crimes here.
To your point, I guess we should never ban firearms, because places in the US with firearm bans still have gun violence.

Considering the overall cultural differences, weapon availability, liberty of movement, etc, no, I would not consider the disparate murder rate to be indicative of the penalty "working". Every study I've ever read regarding capital punishment and its impact on crime has shown frickall correlation, much less causation. Anecdotally, I've literally never met someone accused of murder who thought there was even the remotest chance of them getting arrested for it. And the fact that dozens of people just got beheaded speaks to that.
And no, we should never ban firearms because it would be an inappropriate restriction on civil liberties. I don't think we should so much as restrict firearm ownership. Any other strawmen you'd like to try?

Yep, and not even with a guillotine they just hack it off with a sword in the town square.
Better hope they sharpen that scimitar blade after every beheading or it could get kind of messy.

Interesting paradox: people who want to pass laws banning sharia law also seem to be the most likely to appreciate sharia law.

Yes, the one where we don’t penalize crime because people still commit crime, so obviously it doesn’t work.
Don’t get pissy at me because you formed a poor argument on a ridiculous premise, even though this is your day job.
