NWLa might see some action.
Unfortunately, after some storms came through earlier the sun is out.
Already a couple of tornados in East Texas and some cells with breathing room are moving into NWLa.
Sun needs to carry it’s arse.

Windy and rainy here. Low 50's. Switching from sunny to dark every five minutes. Good day to stay inside.

It's about 85 here but we are supposed to get some pretty heavy storms tomorrow and Monday. Might get out of my daughter's track meet tomorrow

Why is it unfortunate the sun is out?
Posted on 4/6/19 at 4:01 pm to Jack Daniel
Destabilizes the atmosphere which can result in some heady storms

Watching that one myself. Has a lot of room to run. At least storms are firing in front with this big instability. Should at least blunt the energy available when the main spin arrives.

Still supposed to be nasty in the BR area tomorrow afternoon?
Posted on 4/6/19 at 4:41 pm to fallguy_1978
Looks like another 1” or so of rain for South LA tomorrow.
Which is good because the lawn fertilizer needs to be watered in

Yes. Not a lot of veer in the atmosphere but huge instability for this area in the afternoon.
The better dynamics come at night but the instability won't be as high bc nighttime.
Lots of moving parts for the set up though, gonna need to keep an eye on the short range models and SPC discussions to have a better feel on the evolution tomorrow.
ETA: LIX has the severe window about 3 pm Sunday - 3 am Monday.
Front stalls and we get 2-4" through Monday night.

Rats! I was planning on having an outdoor barbecue for my top performing executives but this blasted rain has —pardon the pun— put a damper on the occasion. I’d use the gazebo area on the other side of the 7 car garage but Mrs. S is having tea and watercress sandwiches with her DAR sisters, and the outdoor kitchen is being remodeled. I knew we should have flown everyone to our Kennebunkport house! Ugh!!
