Yup that’s exactly what happened to me. Got something to call them to update my information, it was right when the 5 for 5 LSU recruiting game was on back in 2014. I hung up on them when I realized they were trying to sell shite and never heard from them again.
Is there any value in something like this now that you can look anyone up on LinkedIn or whatever?

They did this in 2010
That directory lists graduates by year and it has almost 1500 pages.If I recall, the price wasn't unreasonable. Not sure if they will include the info they already have on file in this one, but since my info hasn't changed, I'm tossing the post card. Last straw for me was lighting Tiger Stadium up with George Floyd's high school colors.

They are discontinuing the LSU alumni email addresses very soon. They want to make sure you register in their new CRM system.

Throw it away. They want you to buy a book or something. Made the mistake of calling back a few years ago.
