I busted my mom re: santa.
She had all our santa gifts in a suitcase under her bed. I was looking for a backpack and found it.
There was a Michael Jackson vinyl (record) and a Madonna vinyl.
My brother and sister got those, respectively, from Santa.
I was 6, I think.
I was crushed, but never said anything.

Almost tonight, having a night cap after putting shite together, presents all out, Santa cookies eaten... then 6 year old came in saying his leg hurt because we ran a bunch outside today.... luckily he was still out of it and I picked him up quickly and put him in bed with the wife

My wife and I have a plan.
My in laws and brother in law always stay the night with us Christmas Eve. So one of them always stays in each of the boys rooms (there’s three of them). They all have full sized beds so plenty of room. This keeps them from wondering too far. All the Santa stuff is downstairs and their rooms upstairs.
The only tough thing is we leave the stockings in their beds so have to be careful they’re not pretending to sleep. I always pretend to punch them in the face to see if they flinch.

I caught my mom around when I was 10. She'd write down everything in a book that she got us and she left it open on the counter one day. Didn't say anything because I didn't wanna ruin it for my younger siblings.

I tell the kids the house is haunted. Free pass on everything. If they don't buy it, blame the wife. I've yet to need a third option and I'm the favorite.

I was almost busted with the stockings this morning. Kids were opening presents then my wife realized we forgot to fill the stockings. We had s present outside for them so my wife took them out to stall them for a few minutes. They came back in right as I was finishing the last one.
