An 8B 12,000 home development is blowing my mind. Being involved in any phase of that, from sales to construction to whatever, would be amazing.

Cancer notwithstanding...

The water averages right at 70 degrees there

It rarely even gets to 70 so how can it average 70?

The ocean off San Diego reaches its warmest point of the year in August when the temperature averages 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius).

The coolest month is February, when the sea temperature is normally at 57 °F (14 ° C).

Destin sea water temperatures peak in the range 28 to 31°C (82 to 88°F) on around the 14th of July and are at their lowest on about the 11th of February, in the range 16 to 20°C (61 to 68°F).

A couple of thoughts.

One, it’s one way to keep the homeless problem under control.

Two, it’s not like having a low sperm count is going to be a problem for two gay guys.

Huh?

But if I am, it makes sense to me

California is a beautiful state with something for everyone, great history, wonderful schools etc etc. It is every expensive though

They one thing I usually argue about is to the people who are terrified of the state because of "muh liberals"

This is an altruistic, and romanticized view of CA.

I would rather the warm waters of the Gulf. I realize I have to go to florida but florida beaches are better than california beaches. Swimming in 60 deg water sucks

I lived in Huntington Beach and Sunset Beach. The water warms up in the summer, but is still cold. There was a chalkboard at the foot of the HB Pier that had water conditions listed every morning for the surfers. The highest temperature I remember reading on it was 68 degrees (in late summer). You can swim in it, but it's still pretty cold.

For most of the year surfers wear some type of wetsuit. You see a few in the summer w/o one, but I doubt they stay out there for hours. It's too cold.
