Just as you generalize about Southern cities, we will continue to generalize about San Francisco. The only issue is, ‘we’ are correct. The shitting on the streets and homeless issues are facts.
Maybe your super-hip friends can donate huge chunks of their salaries for some public restrooms and maintenance staff to make sure your druggies and mentally ill have a place to crap.
That’s the world you all want right? You want to care for everybody, but you won’t put your money where your mouth is to help them out.

When you arrive at the SF airport unawares as I did, you are a captive audience to all of SF’s virtue- signaling nonsense.
I would recommend flying in to San Jose if you are going there next time. Much better and cleaner airport. Also doesn’t have those issues due to fog that SFO has with their runway design. They built their 4 runaways too close to each other and they intersect in the middle. 28L-10R, 28R-10L and 1L-19R, 1R-19L.
The liberals won’t let them built another in the bay, so landing rate is hindered almost every morning.

I was just out there for 2 weeks and I went looking for shite on the streets because I had been out there countless times and never noticed it. What I found is most the city is shite free but the areas around Embarcedero and SOMA (Market st, Howard St. Folsom St.) were the worst and I did see and smell shite in those areas. I had never noticed it before because I rarely go to these areas. But North Beach, Nob Hill, The Haight, The Mission, Hayes Valley and Now Valley were all shite free. As far as aggressive homeless people, I didn't experience any of that and I walked directly through and near many encampments while going to the dispensary. I also will add, the homeless problem in SF has been ongoing for the 30 years I have been going out there so its nothing new. In fact, homelessness in general was greatly increased by Ronnie Reagan's slashing of housing and other federal assistance and that is when homelessness really exploded.

Nashville has non profits that relocate homeless to the Bay Area and other west coast locales. At some point i'm assuming there will be push back but for now its a phenomenal policy.
I live in Nashville and had no idea about this.
That is incredible if true.

You can buy a reusable bag for a dollar.
eta- Looked it up. You need to use them at least 37 times for them to have a positive impact.

I reuse most of my plastic grocery bags to carry my lunch in and as trash bags in the bathrooms. Just doing my part.

SF is the perfect place to be homeless. Great weather for sleeping outdoors.
New Orleans is really no better than SF.

What are you doing to your reusable bags to make them fall apart? I bought 1 at Kroger for around $3 over 2 years ago that I've used over 100 times with no real wear and tear

So cosmopolitan. People who are eating and drinking 20 feet away can also enjoy and watch the beautiful live demonstration of what they will be doing afterwards in a restroom instead.
San Francisco brought us GRIDS which is now known as AIDS. A huge cholera outbreak is waiting to happen.
