You wealthy? Land prices between Austin and San Antonio are high.

Spent a lot of time in both

I have never felt unsafe in SA, but a few weeks ago I was in Austin downtown and legit felt unsafe

My daughter lives in Austin next to campus and she has to deal with homeless drug addicts on her walk to campus. We went to move her in and ate at a restaurant on Guadalupe. Walked right by a guy on the sidewalk with his dick hanging out of his pants. No thanks

I was just trying to get your daughter's attention. I did think it was strange how you licked your lips when you passed. Least you could of done was say hi.

Not the part I live in but that's beside the question.

I'd imagine that 73% of my neighbors make way north of six figs a year which excludes you so piss off.

San Antonio has a busier feel than Austin? In what sense?

Even with all of the mexicans, we have a far lower crime rate than Dallas does...

It’s still a short drive to Austin if you insist on a 6th street experience or big time college football. BUT I would live in SA in a heartbeat over Austin.

You're doing austin wrong if thats all youre interested in if deciding to move here or not.

For the majority of us that actually live in Austin and still love it, it's the areas outside of downtown that appeal to us. We might go downtown a few times per year, but the longer you live in Austin the more going downtown seems like a chore instead of entertainment. That may be the case for most major cities with downtown life though. Regardless, most austin residents (or surrounding areas) who speak highly of it will usually have downtown listed low on the reasons of why they love it.

I find SA to be a pretty solid place to live. The NW part of town would seem to be nice, but thered be a slight commute.

I love the slanderous angle taken due to the higher Latino population like its bad. But, I'd expect nothing less from some of these ol' boys.

It's a lot different than the Latino population of Houston, though. Lots of SA Latinos aren't really Mexican anymore as their families have been in the US since the 1800's. Mexicans were settled in SA during the Alamo times. Sure they have recent immigrants, but not the same as Houston. It has a different feel. More Mexican heritage, but less I'm still Mexican and more US citizens.

My pick would be Austin. I wouldn't live in Austin, but maybe Pflugerville.
