Maytag DD all say! Bought a used one for 100 bucks when we moved into our new house several years ago. Last year I had to replace the timer (easy). I hope to get another 20 years out of it. Also, a full load means the whole drum will fill with water. frick the energy star standards.

If you simply follow Samsung instructions for washing bedding this won't happen.

I can stuff my entire bed in my Speed Queen and it won't tear a hole through my laundry room.

customer recently had a NXR range, first I had seen, a cheaper chinese made oven.

I have one. I know you're shocked. They used to sell them at Costco online but haven't seen them there recently. I had a massive thread on the f&d board when I bought it.

I actually bought a co-branded unit from austex appliances out of Austin (hallman badge) but it was just a NXR with different grate and burners.

They leave the badge in the bag so you can keep your stove mysterious.

Being the slut that I am I took the stainless knobs and hit them with red plastidip so it looks really cool and they grip easier.. Oh you said it looks like a wolf? Now how did that happen?

Did your customer have a clicking igniter issue?

Whirlpool Direct Drives are the best. I like them better than the old Maytags. Both will last forever and ever.
You can even repair the transmissions in them. So the most expensive part can be fixed.

Have a '94 Maytag set that just won't die... hope it stays that way

shite I still don't know what to do. I bought my washer for $570 in May and they are offering me right around $500 to buy a new one. Should I go buy a new one?

ETA: wouldn't mind buying one and returning it just to get the $500 from those bastards.

Well here is what the guy did, replaced 2 of the snaps holding the top on with bolts and shot 4 sheet metal screws through the back using a piece of galvanized metal as a bridge to join the top to the back panel.

This is all just to keep the top from flying off if the drum goes out of control. Nothing more.

I see rust on the front left suspension rod where it gets wet from the bleach dispenser. Since we never add bleach I may just clamp that water tube off.

So, I got a large capacity SAMSUNG washer and dryer from HD back in 2013. Bought it so wife could do the bedding in lieu of bringing to the cleaners.......

It has paid for itself in that respect ($100 a pop to launder the comforter).

The washer does leak from time to time.......

Shows no other signs of damage or potential for damage.

Should I ignore this recall? Try to get some money out of them?

My receipt says I paid $900 and $800 for the Dryer and Washer, respectively.

HHhhhmmmmm........

Have a Samsung 4.8 cu. ft washer that was included in the recall. I would have tried the "fix" were it not for the fact that the bleach dispenser has COMPLETELY rusted out. The dispenser is virtually resting on nothing. Was only about 7 years old.

While it's not much, I took the $45 rebate option and plan to apply it towards a Top Load AWNE92SP Speed Queen that's on order.

With rebate, discount code and current sales price, I'm getting it from Goedeker's for $833 incl. tax and shipping.
