NHC has been pretty honed in on LA/MS border. Be interesting to see if they change it.

Rita Mae's?

They use food stamps to buy their food from Rouses. Then they cook it and sell it to suckers like you.

Atchafalaya is about as good as it gets. I guess if you’re not a member of the petroleum club you can try Cafe JoJos but that’s not saying much either. Other option is Tampicos.

Yep. Lots of early similarities.

Hopefully they stop soon

They can barely handle 2 inches.

They are going to start this “we can handle 1” the first hour and 1/2” every hour after that”.

Which is complete bullshite. They can’t handle anything close to that

The shifts from here will be subtle. Of course, it won't take much to make a big difference.

We'll see how the UKMet and Euro end up and have an idea if the consensus model will end up shifting. I'm not really going to stay up till 1 to watch the Euro right? My wife keeps telling me the storm will still be there tomorrow, but what does she know?

Our pumps are running at 100% capacity...uh, I mean 99% capacity...uh maybe not any of that. Seems an unforeseen problem shut our pump capacity down.

Yes Rita Mae thank you. Based on your comments I won’t go there. I am not a member of the petroleum club and don’t know how to become one. Tampico’s was a 45 min wait. I enjoy the Galley for breakfast when I can.

This will be the first real storm that will demonstrate the hydrological impact of the Chalmette Wall

Actually there were multiple storms in the early 1815, but the wall at Chalmette stopped them all.

Of course that wall was made of fire and lead. I hope the new wall of concrete and steel holds up as well.

The Chef to Rigolets storm surge will be much much higher this time.

Better to have the water stack up there then stack up in Lake Borgne. At least it will not channeled into a funnel that leads to a major population center built below sea level.

The last thing my wife said as she followed the kids up to bed earlier was “boys, did you know your dad is now a meteorologist? Tell him to enjoy his night refreshing his phone.”

Try East Gate BBQ, you won’t be disappointed

Is there really any difference in those tracks? Other than the point related to time.
