That pier stream is actually at a pier in Orange Beach that is at a condo, not the big pier at Gulf State Park, my mistake.

Stepdad was just telling me he talked to an old family friend in Mobile earlier and could audibly make out him sloshing around in the water in his house already.

Crossing bridge around 4:30 today Prien Lake was visibly higher than normal and had a sheriff parked at the 210 launch because of water inundating the lot. That blew my fricking mind.

Me and BIL tried to talk them into trailering it’s yesterday (we thought we convinced them)

Anyway, when we found out late today they didn’t through pictures, the reasoning was, and I quote “too much trouble, we have insurance”

Sigh

That's a commitment to laziness I'm almost impressed by.

Over 24 hours?

Yes.

Keep in mind for an event like this the outfall gates would be closed and the canals pumped down

Also, TWC just showed a graphic that showed a max of 18” through Friday.

What city is expected to get 20” in the next 24 hours?

A big area from Fort Morgan to Pensacola has the potential for at least 20 inches. Just look up a few posts.

So that graphic is total rainfall....not 24 hour totals correct?

Firing another hot tower on that north side. Going to try to rotate it around. Let's hope it doesn't. That also implies extreme rainfall rates under those purples.

Most of the areas getting crazy rain are within a few miles of the coast and will obviously drain well

Right. That’s over a 3 day period.
