Safety razor. $10 for a pack of 100 and a better shave.

This exactly. The water softens the hair and I don't even use shaving cream anymore. Been using the same mach 5 razor for about 6 or 8 months now.

Been using a safety razor for about 10 years and won't go back. Murkur handle, and I've found Feather blades to work best/sharpest on my beard.

I use the electric razor because I have the facial hair of a small child or infant

DE safety razor. I am one of those fricking weirdos who treat shaving like it's a religious experience. I have a set of brushes for mixing cream in a bowl from shaving soap, a few different DE razors with more than a handful of different brand blades, etc.

I've started using a straight razor, but I still enjoy a nice shave with the DE. Wilkinson Sword blades are perfect for me. Almost as sharp as feathers, but much smoother.

Safety razor now for about a year. Never used any set up more recent than Gillette Sensor Excel before that.

Razor is a Mercur 34C. Astra Platinum blades. I tried others, including Feather, but didn't like the results. I use Stirling Soap brand soaps, switching between Barbershop and Gatlingburg, and I use their synthetic brush.

Buying online, razor cost me $39 and the brush $24. The blades were $13 for a 100 and soap pucks were less than $10. I need 4 pucks a year. That's $63 for the setup and $53 annually for the blades and soap.

Cheaper than what I was spending annually in blades alone, even using older, cheaper stuff.

I've been sporting a beard for the past two years, but before that I used a safety razor, badger brush and a puck of shave soap. My skin thanked me for the change from the 5 blade razor

Merkur razor, Feather Blades, rotate through three of four different shave creams. Bought a nice badger brush at Geo. Trumper in London. Use a bison horn bowl for the cream.

As said earlier - the blades are cheap cheap.

Same here, but also in the morning if my face is a little puffy I’ll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

I’ll neve understand why men got away from using a safety razor. They are much less expensive and give a much better shave.

Probably the time/focus factor. You can chop your face up pretty good if you get in a rush and don't pay attention with a DE. You can just scrape away recklessly with a Mach 3 or the like.
