Yes I agree if the demand is still strong.
How strong is the market demand going to be when the hardcore junkies are off in government run drug camps?
All they’ll have is the functional addict market for products like coke and oxy both of which are down anyway in an era where the cartels are cutting everything with fentanyl and there are weed dispensaries on every corner in big cities.

Has this really been tried anywhere coupled with the option to use legally?
I’ve not heard of anything like that. Maybe another county?

I doubt it. First of all, because governments aren't really interested in fixing the problem. Secondly, as prohibition proved, you really don't need some giant crackdown when the government stops deciding what people can and can't put in their bodies.

Well Brandon was housing illegals at 5 star hotels in the taxpayer dime with FEMA funds in NYC, I’m sure somehow within the literal trillions of dollars the government wastes they could find a way to build or assume some existing structures to accommodate the homeless. But that would require government to do their job and if there is one single thing the government is not interested in doing, it’s their job.

You think homeless junkies keep the drug trade going? There are still an illicit drug market in areas with safe injection zones. Drug dealers still sell weed in places where it’s legalized.

I was in Evertt Washington during Shells artic drilling campaign. Everett was one of the first towns to allow legal "safe injection sites" in the country. The Baptist church was ground zero, and within a few weeks of being announced turned into the cesspool of creeps and miscreants you'd expect.
I've never seen a town of liberals do such a 180 as I did in the 10 weeks I was in that place.

Unpopular opinion but we should get rid of all homeless people and addicts on the street.
Unpopular? We should euthanize them.

Now it's a safe beef injection zone.
