Had Saban never left LSU & kept winning titles; is BR a better overall city than it is today?

T or F?

Formosan Termites first entered the US through the Port of Mobile, Alabama from China in 1920.

It’s a shite hole. I’d gladly take BR with LSU’s 4 titles.

North river country club is very nice and they have some really nice areas near the lake.

It’s not really ugly once you get off the interstate

No. LSU has had some good football teams. The economic difference would be negligible. Nattys have no bearing on the real issue in BR, which I can’t mention without getting banned and put on a government list.

I agree, LSU Mando.

I tell myself that "someone" would've stepped up to try to build upon the successes. All it would've taken was a little PR magic in interviews from the players/coaches after the 1st & 2nd titles:

"LSU is a beautiful place. I am earning a great education + the people of Baton Rouge & all over Louisiana support the Purple + Gold from every angle they can." - Imaginary Player 1

"I have loved my time at LSU. Hey recruits, pay attention to the success were are having here. This could be you. Make the right choice." - Imaginary Player 2

"Coming to Baton Rouge to coach for LSU is the best decision of my life. The community is 100% behind us & you can really see the positive effects of what we are doing on the field transition to this great city." - Imaginary Coach 1

"Baton Rouge has become the best place to raise my family. My kids love their school, their friends, & of course their Tigers." - Imaginary Coach 2

I think Kip Holden's era was some of Baton Rouge's best years. It came to a sharp end when those police were killed by that terrorist shooter on Airline.

The area still has potential. I think a competitive new school district in EBR (St. George) can really help make it attractive to outside investors, especially if Texas starts trending progressive or if the costs of living in places like Houston, Atlanta, or Dallas get too high.

While we all love football and the constant bickering back and forth about it, life is much larger than college sports and BR would be the same place. Its issues run deeper than LSU. Which is sad because BR is great in a lot of ways and could be so much better in many ways but the people in charge don't give af.

No our dumbass state government would have figured out a way to run him off before he got to that point. Its against the state constitution to allow things to grow and prosper in the state of Louisiana and its the government's job to help prevent such things.
