Mmmhmm I'm sure no JTAC has ever operated forward of the main body element. This guy wasn't a TACP in a conventional unit. I'm sure you can figure out the rest. Highly contested area, air strikes, Russian SOF, yeah I'm sure you're right never in the history of mankind has a JTAC operated forward. Get real.
Also for the record I'm using comparisons to the American military for ease of use.

I don't doubt that the guy was brave and performed honorably,but if he was the victim of a blunder on the military's part,you could expect exactly the same transcript to be released,never the actual recording.That pretty much goes for any country's military.Make the guy a hero,avoid lots of questions.

even sof jtacs or cct's don't operate alone
they are attached to an ODA or with Rangers
also we both know you don't have to be a jtac to call in an airstrike when shite hits the fan like in this story.

Then good on him but I don't think the intent of what you quoted me is to call in an airstrike on yourself. It doesn't say don't surrender -- it reads don't surrender while you have the means to resist/free will. It doesn't even come close to reading anything resembling death before dishonor.
What he did was noble in some ways.. but cowardly in some ways too. Can't exactly say what I would do in his shoes. Not sure you can just imagine that kind of stress.
