Them. They are the bad guys.

I don't know of the federal government is so much "a bad guy" as it is a red tape shite show that has so many policies that it is unable to serve in the people's best interest.

Biden also said "I agree" when told "Let's go Brandon".

Just saying.

Broken clock, but this was from the teleprompter unlike that.

I agree that any time anything even remotely exciting looks like it's going to happen that it can get blown way, way out of proportion.

But as someone that remembers the USSR so well, is it really a surprise to you that Russia - and former KGB agent Putin in particular - wants to invade Ukraine for reasons that have nothing do with some grand Biden/US Gov't/MSM distraction?

I mean, there's plenty of precedent for it.

What? Who is that supposed to be encouraging?

It sounds discouraging to Russia because it at least threatens American involvement and it sounds discouraging to the US because he's saying Americans at home will suffer if a war begins.

Perhaps, but I find it odd that it went from starting under Obama to a virtual stalemate under Trump to being on the cusp of kinetic action under Biden.

I find it odd as well, but most likely not in the way you find it odd

I find it odd that people are saying Trumps-Pro Russia stance was a good stance to take.

Do you WANT Russia to invade and conquer Ukraine?

That it's odd that it stopped for 4 years?

Perhaps we are more in line than I originally thought. I find that odd as well.

Yes. Why do you think it stopped?

The stances on NATO between the administrations would be my reason. How about you?

There's also plenty of precedent for the United States involving itself in conflict after conflict, be it militarily or through covert means, for no other reason than war profiteering. Let's face it, the only reason our politicians give a hoot about Ukraine is because it's been a slush fund for the relatives of prominent establishment politicians since the coup we helped engineer was successful back in 2014.

Only weeks after Yanukovych was ousted, the American VP's kid and his business partner (now a convicted felon) were making over $83k per month for "consulting services". We can sit here and wax poetic about how evil Putin is and how we are a "shining light for democracy", but that is a cynical, emotional ploy that hides the fact that our government is willing to send its citizens around the world to engage in war or destabilization, simply so its leaders and their families can make money. Our own motives are often as evil and sociopathic as Putin's motives imo.

No they don’t. They want to fabricate the possibility of war so when it doesn’t happen they can all praise Biden’s diplomacy skills.

I was wondering if republicans were so tied to their party that they would totally ignore the fact that Putin placed 130,000 troops on its border with the Ukraine, made demands of Ukraine and NATO, and threatened nuclear war just so they could shite on Biden.

And yep, you guys are so party over country that you'd rather side with the guy who did everything I just mentioned just because the guy in your home country is from a different party than you.

I think some kinetic actions around the world are out of our control.

That's probably part of it. Democrats seem to have some sort of hard on for fricking with Russia since Obama said they were some relic of the 80's. It also seems to be Biden's little play land as well.

They've learned from the Arab world. Any opposition or criticism of the ruling government in the Arab world is dismissed as Zionist or Western propaganda. Now if you deviate from American political orthodoxy when it to foreign policy and mass surveillance, you are dismissed as a Russian asset, because they don't want to address the merits of your argument. I mean the Biden administration came out today and said Zero Hedge was Russian propaganda. It would be hilarious if only half the country didn't believe it.
