Edit to add: Moved to Houston in my younger days and was without wife for a time. That's a pretty Puritan way of thinking about it, though.
I'm not defending the guy, I just don't think it amounts to assault, sexual or otherwise.
It's the kind of thing that should lead to her and everyone else telling him to not be such a dickhead, and if he got punched in the process, so be it.

It was stupid for him to do it, but I think it was an overreaction on her part. I just don't think it was "file a police report" worthy.
If he would have grabbed her arse then I would understand, but he was just caught up in the moment and gave her a "atta boy" type slap. I understand being a little pissed about it at first, but in a "did you see what that dumbass just did?" type way.. But not in a "OMG I was just violated I am going to the police" type way.
