Coming out of the tunnel into Silverthorne. That ramp gets used a lot. Its probably about 4 miles from this exact spot.

There is one of those near Jasper, AR on state hwt 7.

I saw a truck have to use that ramp one time. His brakes were all boiling smoke from every axle and his Jake brake was screaming and he was still gaining speed. I knew he was in trouble and I was glad he took the ramp. All of those rocks pretty much destroyed the truck. However, the runaway ramp worked like a charm. Truck didn’t jackknife or anything.
I stopped and checked on the driver. He was badly shaken….but he was not hurt.

You see them all the time in some places, west virginia, colorado. They work great.
