What kid wants to go to Ben Franklin tho

Interesting. Jesuit seems to have it figured out when it comes to getting that $$.

This could also be cyclic. Holy Cross was on the ropes after they built Hannan, Holy Angels closed and the Chalmatians wanted to send their kids to coed school, either because it was deemed ok, or it was easier to send brother and sister to one school. Mercy closed and De La Salle went coed for similar reasons.

People that want to go to BF are the type of people that want to be successful in life, so there is that.

Not when you consider the "voluntary" "gap" coverage that they hit you for from day one until you die.
But it is voluntary.
Then dont pay it. The non-jesuit butthurt Nola people use to always say this. When my confusded BR self would say, "then dont pay the voluntary gap", they would get even more butthurt

Yeah a 12 year old kid is really thinking that far in advance. They must live a miserable life

I'm not butthurt, in fact I try to never use that word.
I have always said, "My son can may attend the high school of his choosing, as long as it's called Brother Martin or Jesuit". Now I may have to consider altering that to include Holy Cross, but they will have to prove something to me first.

Smart kids live a miserable life?
I'd proffer that stupid adults live a miserable life, but that's just my opinion.

Jesuit and BM are still easily over holy cross, but their new campus is so nice

Are you really acting like the kid solely decides on what school to go to? You're missing Mac's point.

I'd try to not sound like a stuck up, pompous douchebag if I was trying to dissuade people regarding stereotypes of a particular school.

What "high school experience" do you see a kid is missing at Ben Franklin? You're not the first person I've heard say that, but I'm not sure what it means.

Exactly kids want to go to school where their friends are going and where their cousins and siblings are attending. Not which school will give me the best opportunity to get me into the Ivy League or which school gives me a better chance to get my doctorate

Then you would have been doing it wrong. Went there, played sports, and loved it. Jesuit kids came to our parties because we were smart enough to get alcohol and the good dope. Not sure what I missed out on?

Franklin kids are most kind of weird from my experience. Weird isn't the right word though, let's go with socially awkward.
Obviously I didn't go there, so I won;t claim to label the entire student body past and present. But from my interactions with BF students, that is my assessment.

This could also be cyclic
