He is barely recognizable if no one points him out in NOLA. If you don't act starstruck he is pretty cool.

I met Ted Nugent when I was in high school. Very, very cool guy. Stood outside of the Hilton Hotel in BR and spoke with me and my friends for about 15 minutes.

Met Will Ferrell during The Masters a couple years ago. Huge a-hole. He is very condescending and generally a strange dude in public.

I met Justin Timberlake on a street corner and he was super cool.

Nicest- Met Bernie Mac in New Orleans the night we got married. Cool as they come. Sat at the bar in the hotel with him a while and bought each other drinks and shot the shite.
Met Shaq when I was about 10 years old at the SEC Tournament in Orlando. The team came out to watch the game before they played and I sat next to him and talked for 20-30 minutes. Cool and humble back then, and from what I've heard still is.
Rudest - none as those are the only two I can remember talking/running in to other than locally Ryan Theriot but we grew up together and went to the same high school. He's always been cool to me but I have heard stories.

My friend met both of them in NOLA a few years ago and said the exact opposite. She was a chick though.

Both my extremes are in baseball...

Nicest - Jeff Francour
Rudest - Justin Verlander

Both were in private settings without cameras or hoards of people around bothering them.

I've been around quite a few, but nicest/genuine was Dolly Parton. Not really any I would say were rude, but quite a few that feel they are above most people.

Ran into Dan Patrick one night in New Orleans. This was right after Keith Olberman left ESPN. I just mentioned I missed Keith as his sidekick. He genuinely replied "So do I"

Shaq's cool and handled fame well even as a teenager.

Faith Ford is extremely nice and down to Earth - it probably helped that we grew up near each other and had mutual friends.

Ken Starr is a very nice guy in person.

My sister says Blues Traveler are beyond nice.

You sound like you probably have mental issues to work out. Trying to hug a strangers son? Surprised she was so standoff'ish
