Ernie Ladd was also one of the nicest persons I ever met.

Years ago, I saw Ernie going in the Piccadilly on Government St as I was leaving.

I didn't walk up to say hello as he was with other people, but I sure wish I had.

He passed not too many years after that, iirc.

Cool celebs I have met: Keanu Reeves

Quite a guy... LINK

Ted Kennedy, about as nice a human as I have ever talked to.
Talked to him for abut 5 minutes at the baggage carousel at CDG. Victoria was with him. VERY pleasant and talkative - not at all like his political persona. I still hate him though. Victoria was stand-offish.

I don't think a celebrity refusing to sign an autograph or take a picture with someone who comes up to them in public (or worse, when they're eating) when they're not working an event is rude. Leave them the frick alone, you weirdo creeps! If I was famous I wouldn't sign autographs or take pictures in those situations either.

Rude is you are flying on a plane or sitting at a bar and you see a famous person be crappy to their server. Rude is you run into them in some situation where you are not trying to get their autograph or even aknowlege their celebrity and they're a jerk just as a human. Some of these are examples of that. The rest ate just "waaaah he wouldn't sign an autograph for my kid". Well you are the rude one for asking!

Taking pictures and signing autographs comes as a price with fame.

You don't want to do that? Fine. Quit your job and work a regular job like everybody else making substantially lower wage.

Never met a really rude celebrity but I also don't bother them either. The nicest celebrities that I have met was Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Met them at a friend's wedding in Birmingham back when Triple H had knee surgery. I bet it took him 2 hours to eat a meal from all the people stopping wanting pictures and autographs and he was more than willing to oblige.

We road the elevator with them and Stephanie bent down and was playing with my buddy's nephew the whole ride, she was surprisingly very good looking.

Lil Flip was nice to me and wasn't at all gangstah.

Hakeem Olajuwon is beyond nice - a true gentleman.

ackass: surprisingly Bill Gaither, paid alot of money to take my parents and parents in law to his grey haired Woodstock. I said hi to him at intermission. He didn't make eye contact and gave me a halfassed handshake

Bill, has a speech impedimate and always stutters around people he doesn't know. It's usually award when he meets someone. But I'd rather hear him stutter than hear him sing.

Nicest - Michael J Fox, did a research project with his Foundation a few years back. Incredibly humble and approachable.

Rudest - While he was here in Tampa former Tiger WR Michael Clayton was widely viewed as a drunk and a douchebag.

I think it really depends on the situation though. I mean, if you are going up to a celebrity at a funeral mourning a family member or in a hospital waiting room while their child is in surgery and asking for their autograph/picture....well that's just being an insensitive a-hole on your part. There are some situations where celebrities should be afforded some privacy and left alone.

Like as in, she was a fricking smoke show. I knew she was good looking but this was also before she was on TV much at all and just around every once in awhile, like in 2000 - 2002.

Looking it up, he had a torn quadricep in 2001, must have been it.

Well, absolutely. However...eating out in public and getting pissy because you want to enjoy your meal is what I was going for.
