My feet were getting really bad, so at the beginning of the summer I got my first pedicure. Went when the wife was getting one. Lady took out this cheese grater thing and went to town on my feet. Wife said she had never seen anything like it before. Looked like a pound of skin on the towel in front of me. Feet felt brand new after that.

Wearing flip flops or sandal too often. Especially in dry fall conditions. Use a foot balm at night and wear socks and tennis shoes for a while.

Last year I went for the first time. There was literally a bowl of dead skin crap that came off. She scraped me good.

This. It's pretty common up here being so dry. Lotion, relatively regular pedicures, and pumice stone in the shower are the best ways to combat the problem.
Gotta keep your feet right

It is a fungus. See dermatologist. It'll spread to hands too and toenails. Sporanox can save you.

Quit wearing flip flops.

O'Keefes foot cream at night with socks. Will be good in a week.

Best thing to do is rub some butter on it before bed then put socks on. Sounds crazy but I had an old lady tell me about it and it works wonders in about a week.
The butter just attracts the cockroaches, and they mostly just eat off all the dead skin.

This is like the 8th ailment I never knew about/worried about until I started reading the OT. WTF?

Homo
So having a woman clean my feet while I drink a beer and look down her blouse at her tits makes me a homo?
Maybe you just aren't secure enough in your masculinity.

Get Baby Foot. You'll hate your feet for a week or so but after that you're smooth sailing.

learn.
be careful.
don't go crazy with it until you really know what you are doing.
consider one trip to a podiatrist for long term guidance and some immediate intervention by a pro.

Calloused. Probably a combination of you having a wide foot towards the toe end and poor shoes. Had huge callouses as you describe for years all throughout middle and highschool from sports. Not really a problem.
