Yeah, I'd imagine 6 week bans are probably more restrictive than what most Americans would want, while anything past the first trimester is probably too loose for what Americans would want.

Which animals defend their wombs or even understand what pregnancy is? Nature gives zero fricks about unborn offspring. Hell, many animals will literally eat their own offspring after birth if the determine it to be inferior or the rest of the litter is starving.
