Some whiny bitches crying about statues doesn't mean Trump and his military advisors aren't focused on their jobs.

They had to do it at rush hour too so it could be on the 5:00 and 6:00 news from helicopter and street level. Had the streets closed down, created a traffic nightmare getting home.

I believe FDR attended the dedication when the statue was originally unveiled. Need to go after him next. The New Deal was racist.

Thomas Jefferson, Washington

Thomas Jefferson and Washington were leaders of the United States. Robert E Lee, while being a very important historical figure, was leading a rebellion against them.

This difference cannot be overstated enough.

And FYI, I wouldn't give a damn if they kept the statues up for eternity. It doesn't bother me either way. The whole thing is so damn silly.

Anyone who knows any REAL facts about general Lee should be embarrassed/pissed by this BS. He didn't lead the confederate army because he was pro slavery. He lead lead the army because he was a Virginian and believed in states rights.

The left in this country is rewriting history as fast as they can.

This is disgusting. I live about 10 blocks away from this. This is only the beginning for all the SJW's. What is next? I seriously think famous Plantation Homes in the South will be next on the agenda to tear down. Don't laugh. Who would have thought 20 years ago that this would be happening right now but it is. It's coming.

He sure enjoyed the hell out of the benefits of the slaves his wife inherited. So much that he went to court to keep them enslaved when their prior owner's will said to turn them loose unless economically necessary for the plantation.

If your great great grandpa was one of those slaves, you might not look fondly on the statue of the general.

This is filtering way past Dallas. Belton (near Fort Hood) is next.

Waco TV station

And R E Lee High School in Tyler is on the chopping block. The school board will acquiesce.

I did miss that and think it's dumb as hell to deface Jefferson. That's another level of ignorance.

Columbus brings up a whole other set of issues, but again, I don't really care whether we have statues of him or not.

If they change the name of the school, why does that upset you? Not arguing for or against it I'm just genuinely trying to understand.
