Mama always said don't flash your brights because that's how gangs pick out who to kill.

Finally, Sarah says the couple spotted a police car and drove right up next to it with their horn blaring. She says the cop drove away without doing anything.

Hopefully that's not how it went down. Hopefully...

Houston PD Use-of-Force policies probably prohibit the cop from chasing and engaging the perp with a firearm.

So, Houston PD cop did exactly what Houston PD cops are "authorized" to do.. GTFO of there and cleanup the mess in the aftermath.

I watched a road rage incident on I-635 in Dallas where one driver deliberately rammed his car into the side of another vehicle multiple times and into the concrete barrier on the far left. This car then went far to the right and entered I-35E headed north and the other car got onto I-35E South. Was like in a movie crazy.

Dont live in Houston but situations like this are exactly why I carry now.

In wichita, ks:

Wife and I were on our way to a wedding. Going to take exit in town that had a on ramp leading up to it. Dude taking the on ramp refuses to let us over so i tap my horn. He speeds up just enough for us to get behind him to take the exit and then stops in the middle of the lane block us. Reaches out his window flashing gun signs and pointing at us to pull beside him. I obviously dont do that and he drives away thankfully.

Week later me and wife are driving to dinner. Guy on motorcycle goes to make right turn into our lane (he has a yield sign) and gets mad at me for not letting him in. I drive a little ways and realize he's close behind me. I make a couple dummy turns and verify he's following me. Dude proceeds to follow me for 3/4 miles and tries to get me to stop to fight him. Thankfully he gave up. After the second incident I made the decision to get a pistol just incase something dumb happened.

:CSB:

TLDR: had two incidents of drivers losing their shite on me for no reason las summer. I now carry to protect me and my wife.

The morons have someone chasing them around firing shots and they pull in and park at a Target only to get shot at some more.

And then the 911 operator gives almost the same advice. Just slow down, pull into a well lit gas station where you’ll be super easy to identify with your hazards on and park. But stay crouched! You should be fine and call back if you get shot!

All of our major urban areas are starting to spiral out of control enabled by Marxist groups like BLM.

Road rage is bad everywhere. It doesn't help that most people don't know how to drive. These left lane cruisers really gripe me.

Should have told the cop that the perp was white. It would have been an APB and live news coverage of the police chase.

It's just a ridiculous assertion. To pinpoint a singular reason on why someone in a news story decided to lose their shite and try to kill someone else on the road is laughable.

There are plenty of reasons why major metro areas experience things like this, and what you said may be one of them, but to try to boil it down to one neat answer that makes you feel righteous is lacking in critical thinking. It's one of the reasons people roll their eyes when someone brings up marxism to point to modern troubles.

Comments like the one you posted make any rational criticism of the ideology and it's potential effects incredulous because you can almost see the person who said it, and you know they have no idea what they're talking about.

It's like this all over the country, not just Houston. Try driving a semi and merging in to traffic 20+mph below the speed of traffic because the government and mega companies have choked out the power of the semis in the name of fuel savings. It's horrible, and people freak the hell out nearly every time it happens. I've had pistols pointed at me several times because of it, all I can really do is slide my seat back and hope they just aim for the windows. I can't really return fire and steer a semi without hurting innocent people. I've submitted dashcam video several times of stuff like this happening - Now I even have a camera that mounts on my blind spot mirror at an angle to show vehicles next to me and the license plates on the front of their vehicles.

Just as a tip for the drivers in this country - semis are hauling 80,000 lbs of stuff and it takes a longer time than usual now to get up to speed because the politicians you voted for LOOOOOOVE fricking the truckers over by taking away the power under the hood.

My takeaway from this is, the first guy at least had the courtesy to let you in - which you didn't have for motorcycle guy.

Pew, pew.
