family of four, including two children, is in critical condition after a road rage incident ended in flames Thursday night near Houston, Texas.

Authorities say the family was driving in their truck in Harris County when the father got into a dispute with another driver on the road

quote:

Both drivers eventually pulled into a gas station, where the second driver pulled out a gun. The father attempted to drive off, but when the second driver fired toward his truck, the gunshots struck the vehicle and set off fireworks that the family was carrying, police said.

The driver who shot at vehicle hasn't been found.

A 25-year-old black female, Zakia Bibbs of Tuscaloosa died as a result of the shooting.

The 2 other occupants of the vehicle, a 22-year-old black female and a 23-year-old black male also suffered gunshot wounds from the shooting.

Yeah, I'm guessing that didn't happen, unless they were carrying a keg of gunpowder and the guy was shooting tracers. And even then, I don't believe it.

The fireworks are coming from inside the car.

Wow, Tuscaloosa news actually identifies race when reporting crimes? You don’t see that much anymore unless it’s white people.

The local news link has a video taken from a gas station camera. Two young kids, a 1 and 3 year old in the truck were life flighted to utmb. Pretty hard to make out what exactly happened in the video. Hope they got those kids out before it was fully ablaze.

Yeah, I didn't doubt the fireworks went off, I just think there's a more likely explanation for why, than bullets.

Maybe they were trying to shoot a bottle rocket at the shooter? And it went off inside the car, catching the other ones on fire.
