dude it's crazy the amount of deer I've seen on the roads. They get hit and just decompose right there. Wish more dot would scan the hwys more and pick these fellas up and burn them.

In Louisiana-gators, hogs, mink, turtles when they drain crawfish ponds, bullfrogs when it rains but probably most common raccoons

I’m in northern Oklahoma and saw a badger a few weeks ago. Thought it looked unusual and when I looked in my rear view another truck had flipped a u turn and had pulled up next to it. So he must’ve thought it was uncommon also.

All you need is a Pancho’s restaurant nearby and you’ll never see any road kill

i guess badgers are pretty smart and know to stay away from hwy noise or see vehicles as scary things.

Deers are almost pests where I live. They are so thick it’s not uncommon to see them eat up with ticks and fleas.
I live in a pretty rural area and I have a neighbor that feeds them like pets. Seems like a lot of them end up on the highway dead. Wish he wouldn’t feed them

I've seen a couple deer try to cross and some made it and seen a few get absolutely obliterated depending on what hit them.

Here in Central Florida we see a ton of squirl road pizza. As Ron White said the squirrel is natures poorest decision maker.

Seen a few down in the marsh but mostly up in the delta when the river comes up, they get clipped coming across the levee. And it’s usually a lose/lose situation, will total a vehicle quick

Panthers
yes as a matter of fact ive seen a few Bob's and Panthers(i think they were) hit and dead on the shoulders. It would seem that they are too smart for getting hit.

Ive had thoughts that some animals may be mentally stunted due to lack of proper food, water etc and they literally wander onto a hwy like with not a care in the world almost like suicide or something. Weird. I've seen dogs do this. Once I was on i45 south towards Houston and I saw a large dog(lost or stray) about a mile ahead me just "wander" slowly onto the hwy and he luckily made into the median and watched him threw me rear view cross over the north bound lane untouched and was walking zombie like it was oblivious to anything around him and fade off into the woods. I hate that animals get killed. I got a weak spot for animals.

I nailed a badger going down I84 from Boise last week going about 85 in a rental car. Bastard was huge and did some damage to the front bumper.
