Any info on why/what came over him yet? Are there any drugs that can make a man snap?
That poor 13 year old must have been terrified. She probably wondered whether or not he was going to let her live. He may have thought the 9 year old in critical condition was dead, and that the 13 year old was the only member of the family left.

Paul Harvey was a genius, I listened to him all the time.. wish i could say the same about someone like yourself, but you went out of your way to say that mental illness isn’t real, but evil is…. If i misunderstood what you were saying, then please set me straight, the floor is yours.. but for the love of god be specific .

Being the best possible ex means you cut that person completely out of your life. You deal with them only if you have to exchange kids or make decisions about kids. You don't involve yourself in their personal problems.

I think i was the first person in this thread to suggest demons. I’m not superstitious or even all that religious, but i went through all the possible things that could cause the person i knew to do a thing like that. All that was left was demons. Because nothing else made any sense at all. The more i think about it, i also wonder if it could have been some kind of medication-induced psychosis. If people can drive, eat, text, or have sex on Ambien, they could theoretically kill.

I did not say mental illness is not real. Far from it. As a retired Sergeant Major, I have attended too many funerals related to my soldiers’ falling prey to symptoms of mental illness from PTSD/TBI.
I also know the difference between symptoms of mental illness and manifestations of evil.

That was my thought. A very good friend of one of my family members was killed by his son. The son was prescribed Zoloft by a family member physician and after he started taking it he essentially lost his mind. They think he was undiagnosed bipolar and the Zoloft triggered something that lead to a sudden rampage. (I’m not a mental health professional so I’m explaining this the best I can.)

With 3 kids, one a toddler, maybe he was stressed or not sleeping. Takes something the doctor gave him, thinking it’s safe. Would explain the time, 4 a.m.

You misunderstood and took it up a notch including a couple of comments into it still adding your own biased implications as what was said instead of just quoting the actual words.
