Former LSU Tennis coach. Great coach.

You’re right, I can. But not this time. The guy said Carter was a long-time congressman from Baton Rouge. I replied Carter was never a congressman, which is correct. Simple as that.

Damn forgot about him. I went to the Steve Carter tennis camp at LSU for about 4 years back in the 80's. Good times.

I like how nearly everybody in this thread is going like who’s that? for Steve Carter. Shows why and how his mayoral bid against SWB was doomed to fail. Carter didn’t give a damn about name recognition.
I really never understood Steve Carter’s out of the blue last minute jump into the mayors race.
If he was really interested in being mayor, he would’ve announced a year or two earlier to start raising money, getting as much support and endorsements as he can and try and clear the field.
This last minute jump into the race and the complete milk toast half assed campaign he ran was absolute bull shite and a complete insult to the hardworking producers of EBR Parish who wanted Broome gone.

Sad to hear. Broome had some surrogates whispering in ears that his health was failing and that he couldn’t do the job. Damn covid got him.

I replied to your similar post on the Poli Board why Carter held off announcing his run for mayor. He had total knee replacement surgery in June before the election.
