Ann Coulter with a funny Update joke I forgot about:
quote:
“Jeffrey Dahmer went on trial today for murdering and cannibalizing 15 men. But I don’t like his chances after hearing what his defense strategy is going to be: They started it.”

Is that funny? Am I missing something?

Yeah… he’s blaming them being cannibalized by themselves. It’s completely absurd to a ridiculous degree. Do you not understand Norm’s humor?

And here would probably be my second favorite OJ joke that Norm made, and this was his 4th OJ joke of the night after doing a five minute break:
“And now more OJ Simpson news! *Audience laughs* This week the Juice officially endorsed Bill Clinton for President adding “I’d like to help him anyway I can”, to which the President replied “Well there is one thing…””

"Hey, Pam. Did you hear that Chris is gay?"

I turned 12 right when Norm’s movie, Dirty Work, came out. My parents asked what I wanted to do for my birthday and I said “go to Pizza Hut and then see Dirty Work with my friends” and they obliged (having no idea who or what Norm is) and in my 35 years that’s still my favorite birthday.
A great story that hasn’t been posted yet is norm telling the story of hanging out with Bob Uecker
Norm on Bob Uecker
and working with Don Rickles on Dirty Work

It’s sad that people in their 20s don’t understand the powerhouse Norm was. I was a fan of Norm since I was 8 or 9, and I don’t think there has been a comedian more influential for me. I obviously love Carlin, but while an extreme master of words, his last three standup specials while exceptionally important were more sermons people needed to hear. They were funny sermons, but sermons nonetheless and designed to be sermons before comedy. Norm was just the best. If he’s not cursing, I encourage parents to show their kids early Norm footage. Norm and Carlin influenced me the most.

it was probably better with Norm's delivery

Norm: Patton Oswalt was talking about Cosby, and he said the worst thing about that whole thing was the hypocrisy, and I disagreed with him.
Jerry: you disagreed with that?
Norm: Yea. I thought it was the raping.

If you have listened to Norm enough, you understand his delivery. Norm is a very easy celebrity to do an intimidation of and everyone has their own spin on a Norm impression. Honestly I think of all comedians, people tend to deliver jokes he’s said trying to impersonate him in some way.

I'm 40. After Robin Williams and Farley, Norm was my absolute favorite comic. (Early Chris Rock wasn't far behind).
His delivery, caustic wit, and overall could give two fricks attitude was what made him brilliant.

Honestly I am going to show my kids the Saget roast.

Yeah, Robin was my first love for comedy, Norm was my second. While not as a performer who deserves every bit of credit as he gets, I have come to the conclusion Robin is an overrated comedian. When Farley was going on his downward spirals about not living up to his idol Belushi, Norm tried to comfort him that Belushi was merely a great performer and actor, and was never truly funny on his own terms, while Chris actually was. In another words he had already encapsulated his idol.
I have to agree with Norm here. Robin is one of the greatest performers of all time, but I don’t think he’s one of the greatest comedians of all time after my research. Again, this is the first celebrity’s death since Robin Williams that made me shed tears, so I like Robin Williams, but Norm was a far better comedian than Robin ever was.

Robin was much more about the physical comedy than Norm ever was. I can't disagree there.
But we will disagree on him being a great comic. He was an absolute legendary comic.
Robin's death really got to me. My wife especially, like she physically wept. He did a lot for soldiers. He was a good man w/a lot of demons.

Robin was a good man. Today is the first time I’ve cried over a celebrity death since Robin. Like Robin, Norm was super influential to me. Like 8 and 9 year old me thought he was brilliant and I needed to keep up with him. Norm was super influential on the man I am today.
This hasn’t been posted here and it’s as good of time as any. I guess I was 11 at this point and Norm was on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”. Parents were out of town so I was staying with my grandparents. The feed is super entertaining, so I encourage everyone to watch. Through reckless gambling Norm makes it to the million dollar question. I’ll never forget the million dollar question coming up since I knew the answer. The question is which golf course has a nuclear bunker for Congress. Even before the options came up, I knew it was the Greenbrier. I yelled at the screen for Norm to say “Final Answer” when he also thought it was the Greenbrier, but was bullied out of it by Regis. Got to the point where I woke up my grandmother. He got screwed.

I'm 29 and I think Norm Macdonald and Rodney Dangerfield are the funniest men to ever walk the earth. George Carlin was an angry preachy self righteous douche bag. We will never have another Norm Macdonald.
