As someone alluded to earlier, the Kia K5 has stepped in.

Remember before the Altima there was the Maxima. Something will assume its place.

Saw one in LC with a ratchet strap from rear bumper to back right window last month. Too busy for a pic but yes you know the demographic.

Toughest car on the road.

KIA and Hyundai just creamed their pants.

My daughter has an 08 Altima. Every time I have to drive it, I suddenly turn into a horrible driver. I don't know why.

Next car for those who drive Altima's?

whomever designed those things made them for battle.
whomever designed the spares deserves medals.
i know it SAYS 50mph for 50mi, but i've seen them go 120 on the shoulder, weaving, seemingly indefinitely.
the weight distribution and power application of the altima isn't gonna make anyone at a track turn their heads, but there are other races to run. the altima wins all the rest.

Maxima is the bigger nicer version of the Altima.

Lots of window tint places are going to go out of business.
Altimas usually have the DIY bubbly blueish hue tint you buy at autozone.

there was a time when you could get a Jetta for like 11,500.
they were a menace in years past

I went down a rabbit hole a while back trying to understand why a certain demographic drove so many Altimas when the far superior competitors Accord and Camry were largely ignored, despite very similar base MSRP.
The most popular answer was that Nissan has a much easier credit approval process for financing.
ETA:
And the other popular answer is they depreciated so much more the used vehicles were cheaper.
A real perfect storm for the Altima drivers we live with today.

I swear 25% of the girls at my high school had a Jetta. And yes, they were almost all horrific drivers.
